Johanna and Christopher Wedding Day at Palazzo Belmonte

The idyllic Cilento Coast and the beautiful Palazzo Belmonte make the perfect setting for a romantic and intimate wedding like the celebration held there by Joanna and Christopher on the 12th of June 2010.

The sun shone, the day went smoothly, and fun was had by all – in short the perfect wedding day... The wedding party got ready for the festivities in the rooms of the villa. Everyone from the mother of the bride, radiant in pastels and bold black accessories, to the adorable flower girls in white and pink, and the bride herself who ran around after everyone before being able to concentrate on herself, was grateful for the air conditioning!

The bride wore a stunning white gown with exquisite beading, and kept things simple and elegant with a white bouquet and natural make-up. The groom and groomsmen cut a dashing figure in grey suits, crisp white shirts and ties in the wedding accent colour, a deep, warm pink. The bridesmaids were also pretty in pink, in flirty dresses, adding to the warm, elegant feel of the day.

The ceremony itself was presided over by the Mayor of Santa Maria di Castellabate and took place in the courtyard of Palazzo Belmonte, which was the perfect spot for an intimate, summery wedding, bedecked as it was in flowers and filled with sunshine.
After this beautiful, special moment, the wedding party took a walk through the streets of the village, meeting the people of the Cilento coast as they went, including a curious nun! The village and the stunning Southern Italian coast afforded incredible photo opportunities, all captured by the Dream wedding photographers.

The party then returned to Palazzo Belmonte to enjoy a private party in the beautiful gardens. Details included personalised place cards and simple yet stunning centrepieces of petals, candles and mirrored surfaces, which created a warm glow around the newlyweds and their guests as night fell. Taking pride of place in all of this was the wedding cake, created by the father of the bride, a teacher of cake making and design and an excellent baker himself.

The result was simply beautiful and certainly delicious, in fitting with the rest of the wedding celebrations! The wedding was romantic and a very happy occasion, helped by the beauty of the venue and its stunning surroundings... a truly beautiful wedding in Southern Italy.
