In the moment in which one of the most famous couples in the world - Prince William and Miss Middleton
announced their engagement the speculation started about Kate’s wedding dress
. The future Princess herself is particularly tight lipped about the project – well, no wonder, she is to surprise everyone.
As it is a royal wedding we can expect something really spectacular and fabulous, as all her story, engagement and wedding is a one wonderful fairy tale. The fame goes that Kate is to have two wedding dresses – one for the ceremony in the Westminster Abbey and another one for a small – only family- but highly royal evening reception organized by her future father in low – the Prince Charles.
The project of the wedding dress though is still an obscurity – as well as the designer. It is said that Kate will go for something of McQueen, designed by Sara Burton, whose dress caught the eye of soon to be bride back in 2005. The dress was designed for a fashion journalist, Sara Buys, who married Tom Parker – Bowles, a son of Kate’s future stepmother in law, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
One of the most incredible facts that leaked about the famous gown is its color
. Supposedly it is to be red, for as Kate said she wants to be herself. No one knows if to believe such a news, but according to one of Royal insides miss Middleton had quite a row with her fiancé’s grandmother – the Queen Elisabeth
about her choice. To believe or not believe… this is the question.
One thing is almost certain – the gown’s designers won’t be David and Elisabeth Emanuel, who designed the famous be – laced and be – frilled late Princess Diana
wedding outfit. Everyone remember the spectacular puffed sleeves, delicate bodice adorned with frills and fabulously long (25 feet!) train. In fact one of gossips goes that Prince William actually has asked his future wife to wear his tragically death mother’s dress, to which request Kate answered with firm NO! It is to be her wedding day, with everyone eyes upon her, so no wonder she doesn’t want to be associated with Diana and her wedding. Maybe for a bad luck?...
Though the Princess Diana’s dress designers, the Emanuels
, have some predictions about what Kate might choose. According to them, the lean and long figure may persuade Kate to go for something very classic, with really distinctive, if not “edgy” details to make the gown memorable.
Well, dear brides, what do you think? Is the Kate’s wedding dress going to be THE dress of the season, which will set trends for next few months? It can be, but as far now we would like to show you some of the latest designs for 2011 brides. I’m sure some of them are really worthy of a Princess.
