Punctually at 11 GMT the royal fiancé, Kate Middleton arrived by the entrance of Westminster Abbey, and so, many mysteries were revealed. Millions people all over the world united in a front of the the TV screens follow the proceeding of the wedding of the century.
Radiantly and so modestly looking bride wears a wonderful, simple dress by Sara Burton and Alexander McQueen. A wonderfully made lace bodice perfectly suited Kate’s slim physique, whereas the plain skirt with few big folds adorned by a train completed the …. On her loose hair the bride wears a wonderful tiara, covered by medium length, lace adorned veil. In her hands she held a simple and truly lovely small bouquet of Mayflowers.
Kate pay her homage to the citizens gathered by the Abbey by stopping for a short while and weaving at them. After this she entered the cloister, where both she and her father were welcomed by the Dean of Westminster.
The inside of the Abbey wonderfully decorated with fresh green trees and simple white flowers. The red carpet followed from the entrance to the main altar, where Prince William with his brother Harry as a best man were awaiting the spouse. Just as Kate were approaching her the altar, having the Royals on right and her family on left side, Prince Harry turned around, smiled and whispered something to his big brother. Solemnization of the marriage was begun by the bishop of Canterbury, while the rite was celebrated by the Archbishop, who said the famous:
“I pronounce that they be man and wife together, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”
The votes exchange was truly moving, and then the moment we all waited for arrived: William inserted a wedding ring on Kate’s finger. After this the service started.
The first reading Romans 12: 1 – 2; 9 – 18 was read by Kate’s brother James. Wonderful singing accompanied the ceremony all the time – four choirs were summoned as well as orchestra.
After the service the newlywed with their parents entered the Shrine of Edward the Confessor, where the registry was signed. Done this the happy couple walked toward the entrance accompanied by fanfare “Valiant and Brave” played by RAF Central Band.
Outside Kate and William were greeted by crowds. The white horse drawn, open carriage arrived to take the spouses to the Buckingham Palace. During the ride the couple accompanied by guards on dark horses
The couple was really warmly greeted by people gathered around their route. Shouts and applauses were louder even than wedding bells.
This memorable event was a feat for the City of London – all life stopped, all activities suspended to give people a chance to catch a look of wonderful freshly married!
