As it seems the summer 2011 is a truly fabulous time for people to get married. Or at least some of the famous of the show business and royalty think so. The highly celebrated wedding of Prince William and Kate as it seems opened the wedding season 2011.
The first to say "yes" will be Lily Allen with her fiancé, builder Sam Cooper. Their wedding will take place in Lily’s hometown Stroud the 11th June. The big celebration guest’s list included some of most notorious names from the music industry.
Originally planned as small and intimate event the wedding will turn out into huge party with 300 people attending. As gossip says, Lily is to wear a dress designed by Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, as well as her sisters, Teddy and Sarah who are to be bridesmaids. The chief bridesmaid though is to be Miquita Olivier, a British TV presenter. Well, let’s hope that after so many unpleasant things Lily will find her happiness in the end!
Speaking about Lily, her close ex friend Kate Moss (who actually has been cancelled from Lily’s guests list and vice versa) after many stormy relations finally found the love of her life. The rocker of The Kills, Jamie Hince is going to become her husband July 2 in Oxfordshire, South England. It is known that Kate hired a notorious wedding planner Tracey Emin, who got from catwalk star green light about wedding decor. The wedding planner known for her art piece “My bed” surely will have some original if not shocking ideas. It is said the wedding should be a more punk kitsch than sweet fairly tale party. There are some speculations about Kate’s wedding gown, which originally was to be designed by Galliano. After scandal provoked by designer there were rumours that the model will make her own project of wedding dress. Of course everyone is waiting with anticipation to see it!
The same date chose the Prince Albert of Monaco to marry his long time fiancé Charlene Wittstock, the Olympic swimmer. About those wedding not much is known, for the interested has been lip shut. One thing certain – due to large number of guests the ceremony will take place at the courtyard of the Prince’s Palace in Monaco, and not in Saint Nicholas Cathedral, where in 1956 his Albert’s parents Prince Rainer and actress Grace Kelly were married. The fame says that bride to be is to wear a wedding dress by the project of Armani. However, couple agrees to one thing – a big family started as soon as possible. We wish them to fulfil they dreams!

It’s not the end of royal weddings though, for July 30 the oldest granddaughter of Queen Elisabeth, Zara Phillips will marry her beloved England Rugby Union international Mike Tindall. Of course their wedding won’t be as big and worldwide celebrated like those of Zara’s cousin William. And as expected Royals were really modest in giving away any information. However, Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh’s Old Town confirmed that it will be closed to the public on July 29 and 30 for the dress rehearsal and ceremony. The Queen’s Scottish residence in Edinburgh, the Hollyroodhouse is also said to be closed to public on July 30, whereas Royal Mile will remain shut from 27 to 31 July, so those are presumed locations.
