Once you decided about your gown, you may want to start thinking about other things, like shoes, lingerie, jewellery and of course headdress. Now days the choice is not easy, for there are so many options that may cause headache.
For our mothers it was simple: with or without veil. For you the choice may be a little bit more complex.
Now you can chose among vats variety of veils, bird cage veils, tiaras, combs and hair bands... Of course it has to go well with your dress, style and your own ideas. So don’t worry , make a cup of tea, or pour yourself a glass of vine and relax.
Classic bride will of course opt for the veil. This romantic moment when groom lifts the veil to kiss his newly wedded wife is probably most beautiful moment of ceremony, a custom that comes from times when many couples didn’t actually meet before the wedding. For many the word veil means bride in every sense, and not having one means to miss out on something very special. Those of you who decide on wearing veil can count on for a dramatic look.
There are three lengths of veils: short: goes perfectly with dress richly decorated at waist or if bride wants to show her bouquet, medium: the elbow length veil is most popular, and long veil: a hip length veil suits perfectly dress with train.
But other brides might prefer contemporary look, so many of you might choice a floral headdress, made of fresh flowers. It is really simple and pretty idea, perfect not only for spring or summer wedding, but as well fall/winter time. Your florist may start with simple headband or you may put flowers in your French twist with a comb or simply to put them throughout your hair.
To make it more eye catching you may as well use some pearls, feathers, ribbons. Modest hair ornament made of flowers will complete different wedding gowns.
Very popular lately became vintage style birdcage veil. It is a great way for sophisticated and classy look. Thos veils come in different ways of wearing and length. They may be wore in a front of the head as well as cover entire head. The cage veil can also be wear as a part of headpiece in a form of puff, or eye-caching accent. This vintage veil can be combined with classic long veil. Just remove the long one for the reception, and you have stunning look.
Remember always that the headdress must match your wedding gown style, so don’t force two styles fusion. Your wedding look of course is up to you, and no matter what you choose you will be beautiful radiant bride.
