Which is one of most important thing for the wedding? Well, the bride of course and decorations. And both will need some flowers of course. Summer gives you possibilities of differently shaped, colored and smelling flowers from all the world. But you must take in consideration fact that not all fresh cut flowers will keep well in summer heat.
Many summer weddings use a theme as approach, so consider flowers which will match the theme. Your centerpieces and wedding bouquet especially if ceremony is held outside may not last long under sun, so before deciding on flowers ask your florist advice. Many simple looking flowers, such as daises and gerberas or sunflowers (probably the most summer associated flower ever!) are great addition to centerpieces or bouquets, especially gerberas, which came in many shades. Though if using those in hot outdoor weather you have to take care that gerberas are well moistened, while stem support will prevent the flowers from dropping in a heat. However, planning your flowery decorations take the notice of month in which the wedding take place for the time is almost as important as theme.
Which color you think associated with love and romance? Pink of course. Flowers in this color are very popular in summer bouquets. With many different shades, pink can be combined with other colors, such as soft blues, lavenders, and whites. Adorned with soft and light greenery will make nice accent, while with dark greens flowers may seem faded. Which flowers in pink shades are most suitable for wedding you’ll ask. Mine, the most popular flowers in pinks, lavenders and blues are carnations, orchids, gladiolas, hydrangeas, dahlias and bleeding hearts. With those you or your florist can create mesmerizing, romantic and heat resistant decorations.
Thinking July you think beaches and of course exotic tropical flowers. Brightly colored in yellows, oranges and hot pinks. Such a palette shouts out happiness, joy and love in bridal bouquet and decorations. Best of all, such colors can be perfectly suited with bridesmaids dresses colors, and contrast beautifully with white of bridal gown and sandy beach. Gerberas and daises arrangement are very popular, as well as orange and yellow roses and of course hot pink calla lilies. The little and wonderfully smelling freesias come in many colors and look truly stunning in bridal bouquet, inasmuch as they keep well even in hotter outdoor weather.
Time for harvest, August offers a wide variety of two toned flowers. Orange red combination rose will add depth to brighter colors, while dramatic touch will assure the combination of pink and white. Some exotic flowers, like bird of paradise, or deeply colored exotic orchids which will be nice eye catching accent to your bouquet or centerpieces. The popular chrysanthemums in variety of shapes, colors and textures are truly great idea, especially that those are quite weather resistant flowers. Use dark greenery, but not too much. Adorned with soft baby’s breath will create truly romantic flowery creations.
